    Art workshops

Art that inspires awareness. Creativity that drives change.

Within our ongoing mission to connect artistic expression with social and ecological engagement, we launched a series of immersive workshops and creative labs as part of the Eco Flight – Art Becomes a Social Action project.
Our goal: to show how art can spark awareness, responsibility, and collective transformation.

    Why it matters?

Art as a catalyst for change

Through these programs, we demonstrate how artistic practices can bridge imagination, education, and ecological awareness — turning creativity into social action in ways that are meaningful, inspiring, and accessible to all

Art Labs in Hungary – The Flock Project (Pro Jugendstil Alapítvány)

The convergence of vertical dance, ecological thinking, and various art forms.
During this workshop period, we explored ways to integrate vertical dance and ecological awareness with other artistic approaches. We created a creative space where participants could reflect, exchange ideas, and embark on new experiments involving movement, narrative, and visuals.

Art Labs in the Czech Republic
    – Puppet and giant mask-making workshop with Dafa Theater

Transforming everyday materials into creative expression
As part of its eco-art initiatives, Dafa Theater hosted a Puppet-Making and Giant Mask Workshop where participants turned recycled newspaper into imaginative, expressive artworks. The goal of the session was to show how simple, everyday materials can gain new life through creativity, collaboration, and artistic play.

Art Labs in Spain – Workshop with Samba da Rúa – Creating Costumes for the Eco Flight Show

    Collaborative eco-design with recycled materials

The members of the Samba da Rúa batucada group returned to La Traviesa for four additional sessions to design and create the props and costume elements for their upcoming performance in the Ecoflight show.

All 16 members of the group took part in the creative process, crafting unique costume pieces - including shoulder pads and necklaces - using recycled coffee capsules supplied by the social enterprise Otro Tiempo, Otro Planeta (“Another Time, Another Planet”).

These workshops not only supported the artistic preparation for the performance but also highlighted how sustainable materials can inspire innovative, visually striking costume design.

    Goals

The Ecoflight project raises awareness of waste generation, recycling and management in the EU. We promote conscious personal consumption choices and practices, including the reduction and reuse of goods through art.
The campaign creatively integrates the tools of art to showcase unique ways of protecting the ecosystem, particularly through vertical dance performance, waste collection and artwork recycled for set design.
aims to be a catalyst for making waste collection and art recycling a tradition at festivals and other art campaigns, inspiring the widespread adoption of sustainable practices.

    Where and when?

The project will run simultaneously in six EU countries, and will be presented in 2025 in an international tour to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, France and Spain.
